Birthday Cake Recipe - This strawberry cake recipe will make a great birthday cake and be a hit for any kid birthday party. Your child's birthday will be special with this and other delicious birthday recipes.

1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
1 Pint Fresh Strawberries
1 Recipe whipped cream, see below
1 Jar Strawberry Jam

1. Prepare cake according to the directions on the box. Bake in three 9-inch layers.

2. Place one layer on cake plate. Spread a generous layer of whipped cream on top with lots of strawberries.

3. Top with second layer - Spread with strawberry jam.

4. Top with third layer - Spread with whipped cream on top and sides.

5. Garnish with strawberries.

6. Keep in refrigerator until ready to serve.

WHIPPED CREAM TOPPING

For 7 cups of whipped cream:

1 pint chilled heavy whipping cream
6 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla

1. In a chilled bowl, beat whipping cream, sugar and vanilla, until stiff.

2. Note: The secret to whipping cream is to have whipping cream beaters and bowl all ice cold.
