Apple Tarts Recipe
2 cans crescent rolls
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 can apple pie filling
2 tablespoons margarine, melted
PREHEAT OVEN TO 400 DEGREES.
1. Unfold rolls on greased cookie sheet.
2. Press seams together with fingers. Brush seams lightly with egg wash.
3. Brush center of crust with margarine and extract. Place apple filling in a row in center of crust.
4. Brush edges of pastry with egg wash. Roll up pastry jelly-roll style, with seam side down. Turn ends under, and brush tart and ends with egg wash. Make diagonal slits across top at 2-inch intervals.
5. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
Egg Wash:
1 egg
2 tablespoons water
1. Stir water and egg together.
