Calico Kitty Cookies Recipe
Compliments of Makin' Memories Cookbook
1 (18-ounce) package refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
48 (2 ½-inch) thin pretzel sticks, halved
2/3 cup (48) pecan halves
1/3 cup (72) candy-coated chocolate pieces
PREHEAT OVEN TO 35O DEGREES.
1. Place cookie dough in freezer for at least 1 hour.
2. Cut cookie dough into 24 slices. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
3. For ears, press 2 pecan halves onto top of each cookie, overlapping edge of cookie.
4. For eyes and nose, press in candy pieces.
5. For whiskers, place 2 pretzel pieces on each side of nose; press in slightly.
6. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets.
Yields 2 dozen cookies.
Ingredient Substitution: Use your favorite flavor of refrigerated cookie dough to make these cookies.
