Tuna Burger Recipe





Makin' Memories has over 300 holiday recipes


Compliments of Makin' Memories Cookbook

1/2 cup corn flake crumbs (1 1/2 cups flakes)
1 (7-ounce) can flaked tuna
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion (optional)
4 or 5 slices processed American cheese
1 tablespoon chopped dill pickles
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons finely chopped celery
4 or 5 buns, split and buttered

1. Combine cornflakes crumbs and tuna. (Rinse tuna in cold water to remove fishy taste.)

2. Add mayonnaise, onion, pickle, celery, salt and pepper. Mix lightly.

3. Shape into 4 or 5 patties, size of the buns.

4. Place each patty on bottom half of a bun and place on broiler rack. Place pan in oven so patties are 4 to 5-inches from broiler rack.

5. Broil until golden brown, about 5 minutes.

6. Top each patty with a slice of cheese.

7. Place top half of bun on broiler pan, broil until cheese melts and buns brown. (1 or 2 minutes).

Remove from broiler. Serve hot.
