Louisiana Yam Pie Recipe
Compliments of Makin' Memories Cookbook LOUISIANA YAM PIE Old-fashioned and spicy 1 1/2 cups cooked sweet potatoes 3 eggs 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup milk 1 teaspoon cinnamon 2 tablespoons butter 1 teaspoon allspice 9-inch unbaked pastry shell 1/2 teaspoon salt PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES. 1. Mash sweet potatoes until free of lumps. 2. Add sugar, cinnamon, allspice, and salt. 3. Beat eggs, add to mixture, and cream well. 4. Blend milk and butter; mix well. 5. Pour into pastry shell. Bake 40 to 45 minutes.
