Pistacio-Macadamia Holiday Bars
Ingredients :
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar powder
1 1/4 cup chopped macadamia nuts
1 1/4 cup chopped pistacio nuts
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Note : This amount of ingredients makes about
25 bars and butter can be substituted
with margarine.
Cooking Method :
In a medium size bowl, combined flour, butter,
powdered sugar, 1/4 cup macademia nuts, 1/4 cup
pistachio nuts. Press in your mixture in a square
pan. Building it up about 1/2 inch edges. On a
350 degrees oven temperature, bake for about 20
minutes.
Whisk together the remaining ingredients, except
the nuts, until your mixture is light and fluffy.
Pour this mixture over your hot crust. Sprinkle
the remaining two nuts mixture. Bake again for
20 to 25 minutes until no indentation when you
lightly touch the center. Cool and cut into small
rectangular bars.
